University Printing provides the total solution for digital printing and direct mail marketing.
Data file to be used in variable printing should be a comma delimited text file,
e.g. May,Bill,University Printing,Box 870154,Tuscaloosa,AL,35487
Must include the field names at the beginning of the file,
e.g . name,fname,company,address,city,st,zip,Iname,
Can be extracted from virtually any database,
e.g. FoxPro, MS Access, Paradox, MS Excel, Oracle, etc.
We support most common word processing software programs for the content or body of the document, including Microsoft Word.
The form on which the variable data will be printed can be a letter or some such document with variable data representing the name and address, customer number, employee number, etc.
The document can be a pre-printed color letterhead and the body of the message along with the variable data can be imprinted on that stationery.
